The Wainwright Building

This is a ten-story red brick office block located at 709 Chestnut downtown St Louis. Built between 1890 and 1891, the building was among the first skyscrapers in the world. Designed by Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan, the building is recognized globally as a highly influential prototype for office blocks. United States Customhouse and Post Office

This building was constructed between 1873 and 1874. It was designed by Alfred B. Mullet, William Appleton, and James G. Hill. This building is one of the three surviving federal office buildings that were designed by Mullet. The other two are the Eisenhower Executive office in Washington and the Century Post Office in Raleigh, N.C.

Gateway Arch

This is a 630-foot monument clad in stainless steel. It is the world’s tallest arch and the tallest monument in the Western hemisphere. The Gateway Arch was built as a monument to the westward expansion of the United States.
